Reds/Yankees March 10th

Okay brief look. Bailey looked ordinary. Still throws a ton of pitches to get out of a few innings. May still need a bit more seasoning at AAA. But he's too talented to give up on. While Edison Volquez looked dominate. Four innings, seven strike outs and one run allowed. This guys gotta be a lock for the staff. Probably in the pen.

I'm with you. Anyone who has seen Bailey pitch can see there's more than potential there. Hell, if you had to, I think you could add him to half the staffs in the league right now as a 4 or 5 starter. The problem is, no one wants him to be in the majors unless he's a team's 3 or higher. I think AAA is better for him, but if our number 4 or 5 pitcher is struggling alot a couple months in, bring him up and give him another shot. He's gotta learn how to get big league hitters out sometime, it just might help him gain control of the strike zone without losing his confidence by pitching in AAA, where every mistake he makes won't be drilled 400 feet.
